Controversial: Hangar 6 Is Michael OLeary really willing to save 300 jobs in his native Ireland or does he want to use the Hangar 6 row for another reason? If he wants those jobs to stay here he could easily accept one of the offers that were made to him; i.e. get a new hangar built or use empty existing ones, bigger than the one actually used by Aer Lingus. Furthermore Hangar 6 was constructed to work on wide planes and Ryanair doesnt have any. I believe that Michael is using that row for other reasons; either to put pressure on the two other locations by telling them the Irish Government is begging him to keep the jobs in Ireland but if they can improve their offer hes happy to go with them. Or he wants to discredit the DAA and the Government, because he never accepted the new flight taxes.
