After being promoted from graduate to specialist it is clear there are opportunities within J.P. Morgan. Morgan? J.P. Morgan has a very good reputation for innovation, growth and high performance. What are your day-to-day duties? I am a manager on a team of fund accountants whose primary focus is to deliver fund information and prices to our clients and vendors. I work closely with various hubs internally and with the client, to manage existing business, new fund launches and projects. What have you brought to the company? I have a well-rounded education with a degree in engineering and an MSc in financial maths, and also membership of ACCA. Fund accounting and financial services demand not only a strong knowledge base of accounting principles but also experience with software systems and controls. What has the company given to you? In the period I have been with J.P. Morgan I have advanced from Fund Accountant to the position of Assistant Vice President. What do you do to relax? I play football weekly with employees here at J.P. Morgan. I have begun running and completed my first half marathon last year, and I plan to attempt the Connemara marathon this year.
