Cover: Marie Claire Pictures: Ben Watts Reformed reality star Nicole Richie has hit out at her weight critics but has also shed the baby pounds just four months after giving birth to her second child, son Sparrow. Richie says: I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they dont. Its extremely insulting and irresponsible. To prove a point, the newly brunette Richie, 28, staged a series of saucy shots for Marie Claire. An eating disorder is serious and its a disease, she says. The Simple Life star had Sparrow in September, 18 months after giving birth to Good Charlotte singer Joel Maddens first child, daughter Harlow. Kiefer Sutherland has landed in the brown stuff after apparently being swindled out of $850,000 in a dodgy cattle- shipping scheme. The actor, 43, was one of several alleged victims of Michael Wayne Carr, a steer-roping promoter and cattle manager. He is accused of conning investors by promising to buy cattle in Mexico and sell them in the US for a profit but he just took their money. One cattle mover from Colorado said he lost $300,000 while a New Mexico couple claim they lost a $150,000 investment. Carr is due to appear in a California court next month. The deal he made with Sutherland was made through the actors financial adviser. A sombre-looking Angelina Jolie has finally emerged from hiding for the first time since rumours surfaced that her relationship with Brad Pitt was over. As the actress faced the cameras in New York with brother James Haven, 36, on her arm, Pitt was nowhere to be seen. Her first public outing, came as famous father Jon Voight waded in to his daughters relationship woes by branding the break-up rumours ridiculous. Insiders say the break-up storm engulfing Brangelina began when they had a meeting with a law firm in LA in December. They reportedly discussed the terms of a pre-nup-style document which covered what would happen to their fortune, homes and children should they break up. Meanwhile, Jolie, 34, and her brother tried to divert attention from the rumours by releasing a tribute on the web to their late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. They posted the holiday snap on the third anniversary of her death from ovarian cancer.
