For Manchester United ace Gary Neville wants to build a house thats truly fit for a Teletubby. It may look dipsy but these designs for a zero- carbon house of the future have been three years in the planning. The modern structure has six separate sections of the home called eat, relax, enter- tain, work, sleep and play arranged around a central area which is shaped like a childs pic- ture of flower petals. Even though the 750sq m (8,000sq ft) development is on green belt land, Neville, 34, hopes to use planning laws that al- low the building of new country houses that are truly outstanding and ground-breaking. Last month, the Manchester United club cap- tain impressed planning chiefs in Bolton, Great- er Manchester, in the UK, with his in-depth knowledge of issues and sustainable technology. Their neighbours in Harwood, near Bolton, have already dubbed the 60,000 (68,500)-a-week stars new pad The Teletubbies House, after the childrens television programme. Stephen Ferris, 24, said: It looks amazing, I could live there. I like the way it blends in, so from certain angles you cannot even see a struc- ture is there. But it does look like the circular building in the Teletubbies. Plumber John Haslam, 60, said: Gary must have been watching the childrens show because thats a dead spitting image.
