The 21-year- old woman and 24-year- old man allegedly took the baby from the home of his legal guardian on Thursday and brought him to Ireland, leaving him on the steps of the towns cathedral, with a note giving his name and date of birth. Two men armed with a metal bar robbed an Ulster Bank in Dublin city centre yesterday. The pair entered the Dame Street branch around 10am and threatened staff before demanding cash. Accused Tipperary hotel rapist pleads not guilty a MaN has gone on trial accused of raping a woman in a Tipperary hotel as her boyfriend slept beside her. The 27- year-old has pleaded not guilty to the rape of the woman on July 7, 2008 after she attended a wedding at the hotel. The court heard how the 34-year-old woman initially thought the accused was her boyfriend but realised it was someone else when she felt her partner moving beside her. her boyfriend woke up, hit the accused and then threw him out of the room. The woman had met the accused as they were walking around the hotel, the central criminal court was told, and because he was locked out of his room, she suggested he use a spare bed in an adjoining room.
