The evening before 46-year-old Ce- line Cawley died, Lilliss lover, mas- seuse Jean Treacy, 31, sent a text to him which read: Night my angel. Love you infinitely. Sleep well x. The day after the former Bond girl died, Ms Treacy texted Lillis telling him he should focus on his daughter but that she wasnt abandoning him. We should have no contact until this calms down (for both our sakes). I know youll understand. Everyones looking for a story. This is not an easy decision for me to make. Will be thinking of you every step of the way x, she wrote. She also wrote: I want you to know I still feel the exact same... See you at the funeral. At the time of his arrest, Lillis had two phones and three sim cards; one had only one name in its contacts: Jean Treacy. In November 2008, there were 86 texts between Lillis and Ms Treacy, 18 calls and four multimedia messages; in the fortnight up to Ms Cawleys death, there were 212 text messages and 86 calls between the two. The jury was also shown CCTV footage of Lillis at a local shop buy- ing a newspaper the morning his wife died. He was wearing a dark jumper, jeans and a pair of dark shoes with a white trim on the sole, similar to the clothes found stashed in a suitcase in the attic of the couples home, cov- ered in the film producers blood. Lillis, 52, denies murdering Ms Cawley at their home in Howth in De- cember 2008, while their daughter was at school. He has since admitted he had made up a story about a bur- glar attacking his wife; he also admit- ted having a ten-week affair with Ms Treacy. The trial continues.
