Whos that girl? Madonna looks more like a sinister superhero than singing star after pulling her loose-knit scarf over her face to protect herself from the paps and the cold while in New York with boyfriend Jesus Luz. Jonathan Ross to leave BBC Presenter Jonathan Ross will quit the BBC in six months, he announced yesterday. The broadcaster who reportedly earns 6million (6.7m) a year is standing down after 13 years at the corporation, with Irishman Graham Norton rumoured to be in the running to fill his Friday night slot. His reputation was badly damaged by the outcry which followed him and Russell Brand (pictured) leaving abusive messages on veteran actor Andrew Sachs voicemail. Ross, 49, yesterday promised his final months at the BBC where he presents a Friday night chat show, his Radio 2 show and his film review programme would be the best of his career. In a statement yesterday, Ross said his decision is not financially motivated, but there were other considerations. He had offered to take a 50 per cent pay cut when his contract expired amid unease at salaries paid to BBC stars. Earlier this week, Ross wrote on his Twitter page he was meeting someone from Los Angeles amid speculation the star is set to work in the US.
