The 60-year-old model credited Olay Definity eye illuminator as her secret to brighter-looking eyes in the advert. More than 700 people complained via an online campaign when it emerged the image had been digitally re-touched. The UKs Advertising Standards Authority ruled the advert was misleading. BY ED CARTY Irish talent in line for Globe gloryIRISH ACTOR Brendan Gleeson is in the running for Golden Globe success for his portrayal of Winston Churchill. Gleeson got the nod for the Hollywood award for his part in the television biopic on the wartime leader, Into The Storm. The actor (pictured) won an Emmy ear- lier this year for the role. The former teacher was named on a list of contenders for best actor in a TV mini-series, alongside Belfast-born Kenneth Bran- agh and Jeremy Irons. Other Irish nominees in the prestigious awards include U2 in the best song category for Winter from the new Jim Sheridan film Brothers, and Wicklow freeman Daniel Day-Lewis for best actor in a comedy or musical for Nine. The winners of the 67thAnnual Golden Globe Awards will be announced during a glitzy ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on January 17, six days before voting for the Oscar nomina- tions closes. The event will be hosted by British co- median Ricky Gervais. The Golden Globes, the second-biggest film awards in the US, are widely regard- ed as a strong guide for big-screen Oscar winners. Polanski film for Berlin THE Berlin film festival says Roman Polanskis latest movie, The Ghost Writer, which stars Pierce Brosnan, will premiere there in February.
