It is the 101st horse the DSPCA has tried to rescue as it deals with an equine crisis. DSPCA inspector Liam Kinsella, said there has been more than a 100 per cent increase on such cases in 2009. Smithfield Market was on Sunday... We suspect that the owner of this horse dumped her on the way to the market when she became injured, after he or she jammed it into an overcrowded horsebox thus causing the animal to sustain extensive injuries to its hind legs. It was abandoned in horrific pain and left to die. The owner wouldnt do this beautiful creature the honour of a dignified death, he wouldnt bring it to a vet or to DSPCA, he wouldnt put her out of her misery. Mr Justice peter Kelly told princes US lawyers he would not stand for any prevarication over the discovery of docu- ments sought for a legal action against the singer. prince cancelled a concert at Croke park on June 16, 2008. He is now being sued for 1.6million damages by pro- moter MCD productions. The judge said it appeared letters sent by lawyers acting for MCD in october to seek discovery of documents from law- yers for prince had been completely ignored. He said he would now make an order to make sure the documents were forthcoming. The trial is planned for the Commercial Court on February 23 and may involve evidence via a video link from the US. Lawyers acting for prince said there was no attempt to sabotage the trial and the singers Irish lawyers had written to their US counterparts a number of times stressing the importance of making doc- uments available. The matter had become more compli- cated as another lawyer, from NewYork, had come into the case for prince. Mr Justice Kelly said he did not care how many lawyers were involved and prince would have to take the conse- quences if the order was ignored. There was no excuse not to tell MCD what was happening in relation to the legal documents, with the result that they had had to apply to the court to address the problem, the judge added. princes lawyers have argued the MCD claim was greatly inflated.
