The corpse is believed to be a Nigerian, although the sex has not been divulged. Council officers in Hull, UK, would not say why the body has lain unclaimed, saying only they were working to resolve the unusual situation. They apparently know who the person is and are attempting to contact his or her next of kin. Wikipedia told to name editor blackmailer A MOTHER trying to identify a sin- ister blackmailer has won the right to find out who edited her entry on the online encyclopaedia, Wikipedia. In the first case of its kind, Wikipedia has been told by a court to divulge the IP address of one of its members as he or she may be the same person who has been seeking to exploit the woman. The Florida-based company is pro- tected under US law and British courts lack jurisdiction to control its activities. But the Wikimedia Foundation said it would abide by the ruling. In a number of anonymous letters, the blackmailer threatened to disclose details of the unnamed womans busi- ness and personal life, the High Court in London was told. When her Wikipedia entry was amended, referring to her young child and revealing confidential and sen- sitive details about them both she realised the mystery contributor and her alleged blackmailer might be one and the same. Journalists also told the court they had been approached by an individu- al trying to sell a story about the mother and child. Whoever was responsible for the amendment, there was a very strong case that private information had been disclosed, said Mr Justice Tu- gendhat.
