Michael Hanlon 26, and a friend had been asked to leave Club Diva at The Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin, after an incident inside. As they left, they exchanged words with the door- men before walking out to the main road and hailing a taxi. Hanlon, who had been drinking heavily at the time and had been tak- ing cocaine, got into the back seat of the taxi and instructed the driver to go up the road. When the car started moving, he grabbed the driver around the throat and shouted Ill stab you. The driver stopped the car after be- ing ordered to get out. Hanlon then got into the drivers seat and reversed the car back down the Naas Road. The court heard the club doormen saw the car brake as it entered the car park, before it turned around and drove towards them at speed. They ran inside the building before Hanlon crashed the car through the doorway. Garda Joseph Carroll told the court Hanlon was arrested after garda re- ceived information and that witnesses later identified him as the driver of the car at an identification parade. He said the taxi driver estimated his losses at 9,000 and that 2,000 worth of damage was done to the hotel. Hanlon, of Kilmahuddrick Road, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, to seizing control of a vehicle and to reckless endangerment on August 3, 2006. He was jailed for four years, the last two years being suspended on condi- tion he keep the peace and be of good behaviour for five years on his release. He was also banned from driving for five years. Eminem is tipped as X Factor judge EMINEM has been tipped to replace Dannii Minogue as a judge on X Factor. Billionaire media tycoon Berlusconi, 73, has hit back and offered a more reasonable 2.2million-per-year but his long- suffering wife Veronica Lario, 53, is refusing to budge. Ms Lario, a former topless actress who announced she was leaving Berlusconi after a series of scandals involving escorts and underwear models, is threatening to make things messy unless he agrees to the settlement. The twins are becomingly increasingly active since they left intensive care in Melbournes Royal Childrens Hospital. Guardian Moira Kelly and second mother Maria are both staying at the girls bedsides to help them adjust psychologically to no longer being joined at the head.
