Thousands of hopeful artists will be whittled down to 12, then six contestants, all vying for a prize of studio space for three years and a show at The Hermitage in St Petersburg. Notoriously camera shy, Saatchi himself will not appear on screen, but his panel: artist Tracey Emin, art collector Frank Cohen, art critic Matthew Collings and Barbican curator Kate Bush, will offer up more than enough opinion and drama. Art attack: Critic Matthew Collings co-presents the reality art show River Monsters UTV, 11pm Angler Jeremy Wade goes to extraordinary lengths in his mission to find out whether the piranha of the Amazon basin is truly the river monster of nightmares. In Brazil, he swims with them, inciting the piranhas into a feeding frenzy, and also tracks down survivors and eyewitnesses of piranha attacks. In one incident from 1976, 39 people died when a coach crashed into the river and some bodies were so badly mutilated they could only be identified by their clothes. Is this proof that piranhas do live up to their reputation? An inconvenient tooth: Do piranhas deserve their reputation?
