Theres the adage of never working with children or animals but what about young, hormonal actors? Hey, Im not that much older than the rest of the cast! But we all get along great, were pretty much like a family on and off set. Whenever I see one of my cast mates, it always puts a smile on my face. The scenes I love most in the movie are when all the Cullens are together its like weve all invited a bunch of friends over for dinner. And I have to give them credit Kristens 18 years old and Robs 22, and a lot of young actors that get thrust into the limelight stop taking their work seriously, and it becomes more about becoming famous than the work. But the young cast of Twilight, they remain actors first and celebrities second. Have you had any stalkers or freaky fan mail? For me, theyve always been very respectful, knock on wood. I think its also to do with the role I play how can you not be respectful to Carlisle whos such a calming force? They kind of look at me as though I am that character. Ive done a lot of film and television, and this experience is on a whole different level its a cultural phenomenon. The level of dedication from brighten it with a little twitch of the nose, if you will. Carlisle kind of got the short end of the stick. Are you looking forward to moving on? I dont know, this has been a fantastic ride and Im a fan of the books genuinely. To be a part of something that Im a fan of feels really nice. If anything, Im sad there are only four books I could play Carlisle eternally! Have you ever been bitten by an animal? I got bitten by a dog when I was a paper-boy. But more interestingly, my wife got bitten by an ostrich. We were on safari, and they came up to the jeep. We were going, Aw, what a cute little animal! and then it bit her. It was very funny. these fans is phenomenal. Carlisle creates his own little blood-sucking family. If you got bitten by a vampire, would you turn your family too? Yes. All of them. Jennie and the three kids wed be the greatest little Cullen family for the rest of time. Wouldnt that be fantastic, immortality? I always find theres so much to do and so little time to do it in. Life is such a blink of an eye. If you could have any of the Cullens superpowers, what would it be and why? Reading minds probably wouldnt be a good thing. There are some things you just dont want to know! And knowing the future would be kind of uneventful, if you knew what was going to happen all the time. I think Jasper has a pretty cool one, the mood shifting thing he can shift moods in the room.
