Children buried jars to record sex abuseBy Bill draper A RURAL Missouri property is being excavated as au- thorities believe they may find bodies and buried glass jars with notes written by children who may have record- ed their own sexual abuse. The property, east of Kansas City, was once owned by two of five family members arrested earlier this week. There has been an indication that there are body or bodies in numerous locations, said Lafayette County Sheriff Kerrick Alumbaugh, although he would not say whose bodies they might be. The five family members are charged with several felo- nies, including forcible sodomy, rape with a child young- er than 12 and use of a child in a sexual performance. The suspects are Burrell Edward Mohler Sr, 77, and his sons, Burrell Jr, 53, Jared, 48, Roland, 47, and David, 52. The allegations, which include bestiality, forcing chil- dren into fake marriages with relatives and making an 11-year-old have an abortion, date from 1988 to 1995. Three of the five men were lay ministers in the Community of Christ Church whose licences have been suspended. A 26-year-old woman came forward in mid-August with the allegations, while five siblings of the woman have accused all five men of abuse. The woman told investigators that she and her siblings buried glass jars around the property that were filled with messages about what was happening to them when they were younger. An officer said: That was what they were told. Write these memories down, put them in a jar and bury it and the memories would go away. Hasan not seen as a threat, say medics Hasan: No evidence of violence THE US army major who went on a shooting rampage leaving 13 people dead, displayed overly zealous religious views and strange behaviour that worried the doctors overseeing his medical training. However, the medics said they saw no evidence that Nidal Malik Hasan was violent or a threat. The 39-year-old psychiatrist was charged yesterday with 13 counts of murder at the Fort Hood military base in Texas. Thirty other people were wounded in last weeks shootings. Doctors and staff overseeing Hasans training viewed him at times as belligerent, defensive and argumentative in his discussions of his Muslim faith. The revelations came as reports say an FBI task force learned late last year of Hasans contact with a radical Muslim cleric who encouraged Muslims to kill US troops in Iraq, but they did not refer the information because they concluded he wasnt linked to terrorism. Fears over Black jails THERE has been an alarming rise in people being kidnapped in China while on their way to lodge official complaints against the government, according to a report. NewYork-based Human Rights Watch says the use of black jails has evolved into a lucrative cottage industry that police refuse to acknowledge or crackdown on. At least 38 people claim they were targeted by thugs, held in makeshift detention centres for days or months, deprived of food and sleep, beaten and threatened. Police allegedly aided the captors or refused to intervene. Chinas Ministry of Public Security said it was not responsible for any alleged violations and could not verify the existence of black jails. its a dogs liFe Being a Big Cat Three-month old lion cub Zimba snarls at his foster father Bogi, a three-year old male puli dog in the zoo of Gyoengyoes, in Hungary.
