Beverley Osullivan was a professional singer and a former member of the Irish pop group Fifth Avenue. The 28-year-old had just flown to India with her boyfriend on sunday for a six-week holi- day. They had hired a car and a driver for the first four days of the trip. stephen reeves, 32, remains in a serious but stable condition in rBM Bharatpur General hospital. The condition of the driver is un- known. Beverley had been involved in the music in- dustry for ten years, receiving several awards, including gold and platinum discs for her time with Fifth Avenue, whose hits include some- times When We Touch and spanish Eyes. The band had performed alongside such acts as Lenny Kravitz, shakira, Tina Arena, Blue and sugababes, had supported shaggy, and toured with Westlife for three years. Westlife singer Mark Feehily paid tribute to her on his Twitter page. he said: I am so sad to hear the news of Beverley Osullivans death. I sang alongside her at my cousins wedding this summer. she was gorgeous and talented. his fellow band member Nicky Byrne added: My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I am in shock. Beverleys parents, Eoin and Beverley, who live in Donaghmede, were preparing to fly to India yesterday. her Facebook page had to be taken down so that her brother Wayne, who was in Argenti- na, did not find out about his sisters death online. he flew home from Buenos Aires yes- terday. Beverley revealed in an interview when she was with the band that she was partially deaf, having lost 45 per cent of her hearing in one ear and 30 per cent in the other, yet had man- aged to carve out a successful career in the music industry. since the band split, she performed at pri- vate functions, weddings and funerals. The singer had also just made her acting de- but, and will appear in the Irish movie happy Ever Afters, set for release on Christmas Day. In it she plays a cabaret singer, and had re- corded six songs for the soundtrack. Westlife star Nickys father dies, aged 60 WESTLIFEs Nicky Byrne was last night mourning the death of his father. In a statement, the Byrnes said: The family would like to confirm the sad news of the very sudden loss of a husband, dad and granddad. They described Nicky Byrne Snr as a wonderful man who will be sadly missed by everyone whose life he touched. Sources close to the family said they were absolutely devastated by the unexpected death of Nicky Snr. The boy band star was very close to his father and had thrown him a huge party to celebrate his 60th birthday last December. A friend of the family shocked by the sudden death said: He was fit and well... there was no illness or anything. The Byrne family appealed for privacy as they try to come to terms with their loss.
