This stunning dam- selfly seemed to pose for the camera as it showed off its dazzling blue eyes. The tiny bug, dubbed Old Blue Eyes, perched on top of a garden plant for a few seconds as an ama- teur photographer took aim. Father-of-three Christopher Schlaf used a macro lens and a tripod to capture the striking image of the 3cm insect in his back garden in Romeo, Mich- igan, in the US. The 47-year-old said: Dragonflies and dam- selflies are all over the place but their eyes are nor- mally much more of a grey colour I look all over for ones with blue eyes. As a child I loved playing with bugs, snakes, frogs and any other critters I could lay my hands on. This kind of photography lets me enjoy these creatures all over again. By JOEL TAyLOR Babys got blue eyes: The friendly damselfly strikes a pose Pictures: Solent A small glass please, white rots my teeth WE ALL know red wine can leave unsightly dark stains on our lips and teeth. But white wine can actually rot them, scientists say. Wines such as chardonnay and pinot grigio are much more likely to wear away protective tooth enamel than reds, dental experts claim. Prolonged contact with whites erodes the calcium layer on teeth more quickly than red wines, they found. Researchers compared the erosive effects of eight red and white wines on the enamel of human teeth. The teeth, which came from men and women aged 40 to 65, were soaked for different periods of up to 24 hours. White wines caused significantly more erosion of teeth enamel than reds, the German researchers found. Fu must be joking . . .A kUng FU master has given his rivals the finger by proving he has the worlds strongest finger. Fu Bingli has broken the world record for doing push-ups with one finger. The 39-year-old completed 12 press-ups on just one finger of his right hand to scoop the guinness World Record. Fu of Lianyungang, eastern China, who attempted the feat in a cream suit with red piped edging, said he been studying martial arts for 32 years, since the age of just seven. He said: Ive been training since I was seven years old and my index finger has as much strength in it as most peoples entire body. He also claims he is able to stand upside down supporting himself on just one finger. To qualify as a push-up, his body had to remain straight throughout, with no bending at the knees or waist. Some bloggers had previously doubted whether it was even possible to do press-ups with one finger. But martial arts experts say the one finger push-up is the hardest to perfect. Martial arts star Bruce Lee, whose films included Enter The Dragon and Fists Of Fury, was famous for doing two finger push-ups, but it is not thought he managed the one finger push-up. Other push-up records include the most fingertip push-ups in 60 seconds.
