They are outraged that an Acehnese woman, Qori Sandioriva, 18, won the title, saying that by failing to wear a veil during the competition she betrayed her Acehnese roots and brought shame to the province. Aceh has special autonomy and has implemented partial Sharia law. Hospital power cut kills heart patient A HEART patient died when the electricity at her intensive care unit was diverted to power up a sports facility for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India. The death came as Federation members toured New Delhi to assess Indias ability to host the games. The country has had power cuts for months as it struggles to provide electricity for the project. EU Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs told the conference EU funds will be available for improvements to the grid that would enable the State to sell surplus electricity overseas.
