This is an artists impression of the wom- an Adrian Hicks from the southern English city of Winchester says he saw and who he thinks could be from another planet. But Hicks says there was no space ship or typical little green men. Instead he describes the woman as a pretty blonde, dressed in a white ballet outfit. Mr Hicks, a Liberal Democrat Winchester city councillor, claims she had a penguin- like walk that made her stand out from the crowd. He said: She was a humanoid walking with a penguin-like gait. She had very large oval shaped eyes and was twirling her hands in a circular motion. She was human enough to get away with it, he said. Mr Hicks, an orthopaedic technician in the A&E department at the Royal Hamp- shire County Hospital in Winchester, claims he saw the alien in the citys busy High Street on a Saturday afternoon. He said other shoppers had seen her too but no one had yet admitted to it. The apparition happened in January or February 2004 but Mr Hicks stayed silent because he did not want it to jeopardise his chances of becoming a councillor, he said. But he is now ready to talk about his en- counter and has spent 430 trying to get a perfect artists impression of her. I am sure she wasnt wearing a mask. She was laughing and seemed to be enjoying herself among us. It was staggering. I am not usually lost for words but I was that day. He reckons the creature would have spo- ken to him if he had plucked up the courage to speak to her. Mr Hicks has a theory that the extra-ter- restrial is linked to covert US and British military at Chilcomb, in Hampshire. He added that his colleagues on the city council were in denial that aliens might be in Winchester. They dont seem to realise UFOs are fly- ing in and out of the military base.
