How bad are the lads?! If only they could take a leaf out of Platinums book and commission a few tunes, throw some high-fives and keep tensions down to a few bitchy looks. Or maybe they should consult The Apprentice For Dummies, cos they aint shown much promise yet. If the boys dont get the finger out tonight, the games up for the future generation of Irish businessmen, never mind the smart economy. Wannabes: How will the lads fare in tonights task? Design For Life BBC2, 9pm What was the BBC doing when it chose the contestants for this show? Several design students want to win, la The Apprentice, a job with one of the worlds most successful designers, Frenchman Philippe Starck, who each week sets several product design challenges at which everyone fails abysmally. Its clear that none of these design dullards are the next James Dyson with results that truly are incroyable! Starck choices: Tough task for design icon Philippe Starck, centre Bazs Culture Clash RT2, 10.30pm If, like me, you bristled at the schoolboy antics on RTs How Low Can You Go? youll be pleasantly surprised by this turn from Bazil Ashmawy. The show is as much about Baz as it is the various aspects of Irish culture, and hes surprisingly watchable. His personality doesnt overshadow the subjects but he manages to have enough asides to camera to let us know what hes really thinking. Not too much of a clash, then.
