FBi arrests three men in terror plotBy ivan morEno Suspect admitted al-Qaeda training Zazi has repeatedly denied to report- ers he has any connection to al-Qaeda or to a purported terrorist plot. But in- vestigators said Zazi admitted to FBI agents last week that in 2008 he re- ceived weapons and explosives train- ing from al-Qaeda in Pakistan. The terror investigation into the men gathered momentum after Zazi rented a car and drove from Denver to New York, crossing into Manhattan on September 10. Zazi said he went to New York to resolve some issues with a coffee cart he owns in Manhattan, then flew home to Denver. The FBI searched three apartments the next day and questioned residents in the Queens neighbourhood where Zazi stayed. A search of Zazis rental car in New York turned up a laptop computer containing an image of nine pages of handwritten notes that in- cluded instructions on how to build explosives.
