D Monday, September 14, 2009 METRO Noah, you cant sail your toy boat here, it scares the fish A BOY of nine was reduced to tears when security guards banned him from sailing his toy boat in a lake because it frightened the fish. Noah Bailey was sitting with his grandfather Paul Fabricius when a guard asked what they were doing. Mr Fabricius, 57, said: We were informed that the business park [in west London] had rules that included toy boats. I quizzed him as to what was the reason for this embargo and he replied that it frightens the fish. Its just nonsense. How can it frighten the fish? It has only a tiny electric engine. It gets overtaken by the ducks. When Mr Fabricius asked the name of the manager he should complain to, the guard said he could not say for security reasons.Stopped: Noah Farrell has a little tiff at film premiere COLIN Farrell got into an angry con- frontation with photographers at the pre- miere of his latest movie in Toronto. The 33-year-old objected to requests from the press pen for his sister to leave the red carpet so they had a clearer shot of the star. In a brief stand-off, he went nose-to- nose with one photographer and remon- strated loudly before retaining his com- posure. Farrell was at the Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff) for the premiere of Triage, a movie which investigates the psychological effects of war on a photo- journalist. The actor stars alongside Sir Christo- pher Lee and Paz Vega in the movie. He arrived at the Elgin Theatre amid boisterous shouting from the press pen, but took exception when photographers requested that his sister clear the area. Photographers implored the actors en- tourage to get off the carpet, prompting the angry scene. He approached London-based Joe Al- varez who was among those shouting at those accompanying the star. Mr Alvarez said: With celebs you get a lot of hangers-on, PRs, everyone and their wives surrounding the stars and we are limited for space. I was just saying, Please can everyone clear the carpet, move on. He took it personal. He said, Do not shout at my sister like that, do not ever speak to my sister like that. The confrontation quickly passed, with Farrell returning to his film promotion duties before taking his seat in the audi- torium. Speaking minutes after the incident, he said that studying photojournalists had not affected his views in regards to show- biz photographers. He said: It is completely separate. I wouldnt compare. Comparison is a dan- gerous business. Having grudgingly admitted to having more than a passing resemblance to Peter Griffin the star of animated US sitcom Family Guy the Ulster Unionist is now intent on having the last laugh on polling day. Staff in Mr Husseys constituency office have drafted a sample election poster using an image of the podgy character urging the people of Tyrone to plump for the UUP. Hopefully it shows that not all politicians take themselves too seriously, said Mr Hussey. While the poster started off as a joke, Mr Hussey is seriously considering using it. Elections are boring enough at times, and anything to liven them up must be a good thing. UUP Guy: Ross Hussey Separated at birth?
